Greg Smallwood

PFS, Managing Venturer

As managing venturer, Greg Smallwood helps leads Titan Alpha. He serves as the president of PFS, where he is responsible for the development and execution of strategic initiatives to ensure growth. Greg is also a decorated combat Veteran with more than 15 years of experience in health care operations management and strategic advisory services in both the military and the private sector.


Greg most recently served as a principal with Atlas Research, where he led multiple large-scale, complex engagements supporting and advising the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs’ business transformation and customer experience programs with the MyVA Task Force, the Modernization Office, and the Veterans Experience Office. He has also assessed and advised on Veterans Health Administration’s realignment efforts, focusing on the integration of the financial, information technology, workforce, and care delivery elements of healthcare operations, and their implications at both the facility and network levels.

Directly after active duty, Greg took a position as the Chief of Staff for the CEO at Atlas Research, where he was responsible for the development of the corporate infrastructure, focusing on strategic and account planning activities, operational and human capital policy development, and financial/accounting system implementations.

Greg served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps as an infantryman in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as a Platoon Sergeant for the Wounded Warriors Battalion, where he managed the integrated medical care programs for combat wounded/injured Marines. He remains engaged in the Veteran community by participating in multiple roundtables focusing on improving the Veteran’s experience with VA and helping other Veterans transition from active duty to the private sector.


Greg holds a Bachelor of Business Management from American Military University and a Master’s in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt, and a Change Management Practitioner.
